My Weight Loss Journey
"I need to lose 80 pounds. I will be documenting my journey here. Yesterday, when I went to the doctor's office, the scale showed that I weighed 258 pounds. My healthy weight is 170. I feel like I'm wearing a snowsuit all the time, which is very uncomfortable. It's not me, and I want to change that. I turned 50 in July, and I want to feel like I'm 30 again. I have my first grandchild arriving in April, and I want to be active, energetic, and flexible enough to play, go on adventures, and keep up with the little one. I want to look and feel sexy, just like I did when I was 30. I want to move without pain and be able to get up from the floor easily. I need energy and vitality to travel and explore the world and achieve my goals and dreams."
My life has been filled with people and institutions telling me what to do and how to do it, and when I could not complete or accomplish something just like I was supposed to do, I would feel tremendous guilt, shame, and feel like I was a failure. So, I wont be following a specific plan created by someone else but instead taking things from all and creating a unique and original plan that will fit me and that I can be proud of.
I used to be an expert in this field of health and fitness, having owned a gym for ten years. However, I followed the plan of the franchise creator, but along the way, I felt the rebellion and need to break out and do my own thing. I will utilize my education and knowledge from the years of working with women my age, incorporate what I love to do, and create a memorable journey of health and vitality.
I reserve the right to change, shift, pivot, scratch, do over, and start again as I keep moving forward. The one constant and the only thing I promise is that I will not quit. So here it goes. The journey begins.
